New variants were developed of working with photography in mental health care. We now also have a method that departs from photographs of clients made by a professional photographer. we called it: Look at Me! Recovery in Images. A client is invited on a journey of discovery to find his strengths: talents, strong convictions, memories he/she cherries, values of what a good life constitutes or just what he/she favoures and likes. A mentor nurse accompanies the client on this journey and a photographer portrays the client while he/she is engaged in his search. The resulting photos picture the person behind the patient and can be used by the client to build on for further recovery. They can also assist nurses in recovery-oriented support.
